Great satisfaction in Escobar Racing

foto: rallyspeed.dk

Saturday 7 November it was announced as the first time that Escobar Racing from Køge to try out your new Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
It perished on the roads around Slagelse where sixth round of Denmark Cup mini-rally was held.

The team had before the race only driven a few kilometers in the car, so the crew was a bit nervous before the first test in Kelstrup.
The team had decided before the start that you do not want to go out and invest and therefore took it calmly at first speed test. But it quickly became clear that the car was relatively easy to run and then the pace was quietly stepped up.

The car that the team itself has been nicknamed "The Beast" lived fully up to expectations which could also be felt and heard of the many rally fans who had braved the cold November and faithful stood and cheered on the participants.

Lars Kragh says: Apart from some minor adjustments we have to go home and work with as the car drove fantastic. It's always nice to put at the start of a new car where it all just work. We learned a lot about the car in Slagelse and I have especially come to me that despite its rapid acceleration and high top speed is easy to slow down again. We had no technical problems and things look good for the future, concludes Lars Kragh.

The whole team behind Escobar Racing would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who stopped service space with shoulder pats and words of praise for the new car.
One is in the team believes that many rally fans have had an experience this cold November day.

2009 season is now over for Escobar Racing and the team will now spend the winter to make some adjustments to the car within the next year draws to Germany to participate in Porsche Road Challenge Cup.

Rally Vestsjællands Bilsyn 2009

Slagelse Autosport was Saturday 7th Nov. organizer of this year's finals in the Mini Rally. It was done in collaboration with West Zealand Bilsyn / Dinitrol, Monarch Restaurant Slagelse and Ostenfeld Cars.
59 rally cars from across the country and a handful from Sweden, asked to start at Vestsjællands Bilsyn, accompanied by music from Slagelse Garden. The young people from Garden froze bravely in the cold weather, but the music they supplied was nothing wrong and the many visitors from far and got a nice greeting from Slagelse.

Per G: In class for historic cars, asked Per G Karsten Hansen and Svensson, Ringsted, with a very rare Opel Ascona 400. Photo: Troels Lund

A bit unusual was that Denmark Premiere in Danish rally, when Lars Kragh asked to start as open driver in his newly purchased Porsche 911 GT3. The audience got a special experience because Porschemotor has its own unique racingsound. It was very popular!

Participants had to drive 4 speed tests at Vollerup and Kelstrup before the winners could be rewarded by goals.
Along the way it was for some ample drama, with several exits and dents. A single Volvo 240 found his end at Kelstrup test when it slammed sideways into the tree. Falck had to use cutting tools to get the second driver from the car. The injured were quickly driven to the hospital and scanned. Luckily, no broken limbs and internal injuries. So she could quickly printed out and turn back to the rally downtown.
The accident was a break in the conduct of the race, but managed to implement within the agreed time period, so residents along the barricaded roads were not unduly bothered by the barrier.

The overall winner of the Rally Vestsjællands Bilsyn was Donald hydrolysis, Soro, in his very fast Suzuki Swift. Also other local riders took good care of the trophies in each class. Claus Winter / Rikke Skovgaard, Jyderup, won Class 5 in their Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X and Kim Madsen / Kasper Sørensen, Sorø, won Class 8 in the Ford Escort RS2000 in front of Michael Lund / Arly Larsen Dianalund,

Ascona B 2.0 which was dried in a class with fine historic rally cars. The historic cars are not particularly slow, thus an overall seventh place with Kim Madsen evidence.

Of the 59 starting cars, it is gratifying that only 6 cars do not reach the goal. Technical defects and exits tend otherwise to decimate the field in a greater degree than seen in this race. The many full leading participants created the framework for a festive awards, which this year's overall winners should have medals of Danish Automobile Sports Union and today's winners have trophies

Sad goodbye

The garage is total empty shelves and completely cleared from Escobar Racing in Køge.
The team there for a long time have had their Opel Corsa Super 1600 for sale online, both in Denmark and abroad, has been in negotiations with an overseas buyer for some time and just this week been selling car a reality.

The new owner is from Germany, and that means also, unfortunately, that probably not going to see the little red Opel Corsa quick on Danish roads further.

Lars Kragh: We have sold our Opel Corsa Super 1600 abroad and we are obviously very excited and proud. We have a very good price for the car and it should not be sad in these so-called crisis. We had obviously hoped that it would be sold to a young person running this country, so it had continued his career in the Danish rally sport, but that did not. Apart from the hope of a Danish run had signed up, we had the car advertised for sale cheaper in Denmark than abroad.

In the more than 2 years we have had the car we have learned a lot about driving Super 1600 cars and homes have also been many great results for us. Somewhere it is sad to say goodbye to this fantastic racing, but I have long gone with the dream of getting a bigger and faster cars and why I

took the decision to now, it should be ending Lars Kragh.

Escobar Racing has now begun the hunt to find a worthy replacement for the team's Opel Corsa and hopes soon to be able to introduce a new car on the team website. The team obviously wants the new owner good luck with the car.

Fast laps in Frederikssund

Less than a week after the first DM afdelling had season championship in Yokohama east of the Great Belt.

Again this year was the first section run in the industrial area at Frederikssund at Viking Park. After many of the participants believe, was the sample were both longer, more fun and more challenging than last year.

...

In the smaller Class 3 continued the battle for second between Anders Lysen, Suzuki Swift 1600 Maxi and Lars Kragh in the Opel Corsa S1600 but Mats Andersson in a more unknown Proton satria was also thought to interfere in the match.

Anders Lysen drove a flawless race and finished in front of class. matches the second allowed Mats Anderson pushed themselves in front of Lars Kragh.

Competition between the three drivers was as close to the occupied number 2, 4 and 5 in the overall position.

"Why build a new engine,
when you can buy a brand new car "

This was also true when the article was written, but a few days after there was anything we had not expected. The engine on the old starlet collapsed again and a quick decision was made. Into the network and look at what's available for sale of used cars at a reasonable prices, more interesting cars was quickly found, but there was also like the Chevrolet racing as Escobar built last year.

read the article here (in danish)

You could just take a look down and look at it it costs nothing. Quick decision taken and we got Lars Kragh "listen here, we have an old car is not good and you have a brand new works, we should not just do a swap." Not just the best starting point for a good deal but we got Lars explained how things hang together, the car was our "junior" and that the economy of the young riders is not quite in top.

Lars was fresh right away and was willing to find a workable solution for both Escobar racing and Boss Racing. He got the car got home to Køge and Saturday we went down to look at the animal. In short, the standard car has got a cage and a nice chassis.

But what now? Claus has just run ræs in a rear car pulled how should it go with the new, which is pulling in the other end? It is quite natural that the other riders in the Boss Racing will help to make the experience far as they have accumulated over many years, but that just jumping into a completely new car and provide full load may not be as easy as it sounds.

Therefore we welcome the fact that Lars Kragh has pledged a day in the car together with Claus, where he will try to make something of his experience with forhiulstræk to a young running. (Thank you Lars, we look forward to a pleasant day with a little "closed" race).......

Bronze for Escobar Racing in Frederikssund.

The otherwise generally peaceful easton was replaced Thursday by the sound of deafening rallycars since the 1st round of Yokohama championship east was settled.

Not less than 66 rallycars had chosen to use days off to race in Frederikssund and Escobar Racing from Køge was no exception.

The team had already before the start set targets to finish in the top 3 in class and it was the end of the day turn out to hold the connector.

Escobar Racing had on the day an old favorite with the mechanic. Jesper Andersen for many years had a mechanic for Escobar Racing and a familiar face in Danish rally sport, was able in the team's solid mechanic Morten Pilegaard, who might join cancel due to work abroad.
Escobar Racing would like to thank Jesper for the great effort in the team today.

The smoking beliefs could be almost tempted to say was Lars Kragh and medkører Jess Larsen fight for second with Anders Lysen and John Madsen of the Suzuki Swift 1600 MAXI but Mats Andersson from Sweden, in Proton Satria also intend to interfere in the top and finish between best on this high holy Maundy Thursday.
Anders Lysen drove a flawless race and ended not surprising at 1 place in class. It went simultaneously to an impressive 2 space in general. Massive congratulations to Anders and John for the wonderful outcome.

All day long struggled Lars Kragh and Mats Andersson as the slot 2 and 4 after the heat and just 32 km. speed test, there was only 1.66 seconds between the two.

photo: brian juel

Mats Andersson drew the longest straw and Lars had to go to get the 3 place in the class and a 5 place over all.

Race Directors had been days composed a new and very fast speed test, which on paper was clearly of great benefit for cars with 2.0 liter engine.

Nevertheless, the end of the day turn out to not less than 3 paragraphs. 1600 ccm cars finished among the 5 best general.

Race was won by Steen Andersen and Kim Jorgensen in Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 7 and Escobar Racing must sound a big congratulations on the victory in Frederikssund. Escobar Racing would like to thank Viking Auto Sport for an incredibly good and well organized event and we hope very much that this type of events are here to stay.

Escobar Racing to start in Frederikssund

The 9th of april, there is a championship season at Yokohama east, tradition and belief, one could almost tempted to say, the first round again this year running in Frederikssund.

photo: brian juel

Viking Park, as the sample is called has been changed significantly and for the same reason, been renamed New Viking Park.
The circut was longer, more fun and more challenging and unlike before, this time no against running or Hoffman bricks.

Just Hoffman blocks formed team owner Lars Kragh acquainted with last year.

In the first heat the sample was not completely dried up, and Lars Kragh and Jess Larsen had a little slide with your Opel Corsa Super 1600, the car hit a brick of Hoffman was moved across the sample. Unfortunately the analysis of Anders Lysen Suzuki Swift Super1600 moving in the opposite direction, but a quick response on his part meant that both teams avoided major damage to the cars.

So, communication from the race directors of the sample has been changed this year, comes as welcome news for Escobar Racing.

Actually it was considered that a new young talent had to sit behind the team addressed the Opel Corsa Super 1600 when this season was shot in time.

But despite several very serious inquiries to the press release issued by Escobar Racing earlier this year, which just looked a young junior running for the team, it is unfortunately not succeeded for some applicants to obtain the necessary capital for the project.

The team owner Lars Kragh obviously very sad, but also know yourself, how difficult it is these days to raise money or sponsors who can help make such a project possible for an early rally driving.

In Escobar Racing is working right now at high pressure to find a car with 4x4 to the 2010 season.

Lars & Jess has long gone with the desire to get a bigger car with more power and features on all four wheels, but what brand it is, Lars would rather not comment on until later this year.

The plan was actually to Escobar Racing was put to the start of a new car this year, but problems with the supplier has thus led the team must wait with patience for the coming season.

For the same reason, Lars and Jess decided to take Corsa out of the garage and take part in Frederikssund and pleased with the rest of the team, much to familiarize themselves with the new Viking Park circut.

In Escobar Racing go with the dream of repeating their success of 2006 and 2007, which focused on a young talent rally driving, and is, therefore, a junior driver with the ambition of the order and the will to win.
